Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using The Practice Journal mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Description of Service
The Practice Journal is a 90-day guided journaling experience rooted in Sikh wisdom. The Service includes a mobile application and website that provide daily reflections, journaling prompts, and spiritual guidance.
User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Subscriptions and Purchases
Free Trial
New users receive 7 days of free access to the Service. After the trial period, a purchase is required to continue accessing premium content.
In-App Purchases
Purchases made through the mobile app are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Refund requests for in-app purchases must be directed to Apple.
Website Purchases
Purchases made through our website are processed by Stripe. For digital products, you will receive a redemption code to unlock access in the app.
Physical Products
Physical journal books are shipped from Montreal, Canada. Shipping times vary by location. For shipping inquiries or issues, please contact us.
Refund Policy
- In-App Purchases: Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
- Website Digital Purchases: We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you have not redeemed your access code.
- Physical Products: We accept returns of unused, unopened items within 30 days of delivery. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by The Practice Journal and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The journal content draws inspiration from Sikh scriptures and teachings. These spiritual texts belong to humanity and are shared with deep respect for the tradition.
User Content
Your journal entries and personal reflections remain your property. We do not claim ownership of any content you create within the Service. Your entries are stored locally on your device and are private to you.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display our content without permission
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service to transmit harmful or malicious content
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The journal content is intended for personal reflection and spiritual growth and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or religious advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Practice Journal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying you via email or in-app notification.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
